Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment Strategy & Execution
- Tactically carry out innovative talent acquisition strategies to build a proactive talent pipeline and attract top-tier candidates.
- Manage full-cycle recruitment, from job postings and sourcing to interviewing and selection for a variety of roles, including engineering, survey, planning, Environmental Science and Permitting, Construction Management and corporate support positions
- Partner with department heads to understand hiring needs and workforce planning. Utilize data-driven insights to optimize recruitment processes and enhance efficiency.
- Promote MacKay Sposito as an employer of choice through targeted branding and outreach efforts. This will include activities such as attending college career fairs and other passive candidate outreach.
- Enhance candidate experience by ensuring a smooth, transparent, and engaging recruitment process.
- Develop relationships with universities, professional associations, and industry networks to build a strong proactive talent pipeline.
- Leverage applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment software to streamline hiring processes.
- Working with Business Development and Marketing - Utilize social media, job boards, and networking tools to identify and engage passive candidates.
- Track meaningful recruitment metrics.
- Provide regular reports and insights to leadership on hiring trends and challenges.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in talent acquisition, preferably in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering & Construction) industry
- Proven track record of successful hiring strategies.
- Strong understanding of employment laws, hiring best practices, and market trends.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment marketing platforms.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

With more than 50 years of experience, MacKay Sposito is a multidisciplinary firm based in Vancouver, Washington, specializing in public works, energy, and land development. Our passionate team focuses on building lasting relationships through quality work, creative design, and collaboration. We offer civil engineering, land surveying, environmental science and permitting, landscape architecture, and construction management and inspection services.
With the addition of our subsidiary, Riparia Environmental, we now deliver a full suite of services from design and engineering to maintenance and environmental compliance. Together, we balance development with environmental stewardship and sustainability.

Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as various market and business considerations. The wage range for this position is $34.00 - $43.50 per hour, depending on experience.
Full-time employees receive a well-rounded benefits package, including access to our company-sponsored Medical, Dental, Vision, FSA, HSA and Supplemental Life Insurance plans. 100% company paid Life Insurance, Short Term Disability, and Long Term Disability coverage. Employees are eligible to participate in our company 401k plan with up to a 4% match Additionally, employees also receive paid vacation time, paid sick time, and 11 paid holidays. MacKay Sposito pays for expenses associated with licensure as well as annual profit-sharing bonuses.
