Construction Manager
MacKay Sposito is seeking a Construction Manager with experience in public roadway and utility construction. This position manages budget, schedule, and quality for construction of new roadway projects acting as an owner’s representative. This position requires clear and accurate communication of project information to clients, the general public, regulatory agencies, and other agencies, peers, and managers routinely. We generally have projects in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana.

Keys to Success:
- Capable of managing multiple construction projects and inspection field staff simultaneously.
- Able to track status, review and effectively process time sensitive construction documents including change orders, requests for information, submittals, and other documents.
- Effectively communicate with the project team including the owner, construction contractor, design team, and project stakeholders.
- Conducts work in a very detail-oriented manner.
- Driven to seek continual learning and improvement.
- Demonstrates success in working independently to meet deadlines, act in an Owner’s Representative role, and execute a wide range of construction management activities.
- Capable of maintaining composure under pressure and remaining flexible despite interruptions or changes.
Qualifications:
- 10 years of work experience in construction management, project management, or civil engineering is preferred.
- A Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering, construction engineering management or other engineering field is preferred, but not required.
- Must have a working knowledge of most components of roadway and utility construction projects including earthwork, aggregate base, asphalt and concrete paving, concrete curbing and sidewalks, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, potable water, street lighting, landscaping, irrigation and traffic signals.
- Must be safety oriented and have a working knowledge of safety requirements.
- Must have proficiency in the following key areas: Word processing, spreadsheet and email software.
- Experience with Project scheduling software.
- Must be able to walk, lift, carry, stoop, bend, twist and work in the outdoors on uneven surfaces routinely. Typical work day may include exposure to weather extremes and rough or uneven terrain.

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as various market and business considerations.
The wage range for this position is $45.00 - $67.00/hr depending on experience.

MacKay Sposito pays for expenses associated with licensure as well as annual profit sharing bonuses.
